HomeWilderness & Wildlife – half-day trek from Adelaide

Wilderness & Wildlife – half-day trek from Adelaide

A few kilometres from the centre of Adelaide, you’ll find a truly unique natural area, Morialta Conservation Park, offering waterfalls, hiking trails and wild rock formations.

On this half-day excursion, you’ll visit the park with an expert local guide, who will both tell you about the Aboriginal people’s connection to the place and take you on a fantastic hike in this scenic area.

Morialta is one of the best places around to spot koalas in the wild, and it’s not uncommon to see kangaroos and wallabies grazing in the early morning hours when you visit the park.

The hike itself is approx. 6 km long, and around 3 hours have been allocated to cover this distance, so the pace is quite leisurely. In some places, the terrain where you’ll be walking is slightly uneven, so the excursion is primarily suitable for people who are steady on their feet and in generally good physical shape.

The excursion takes place in the morning to avoid the worst of the heat, and you’re back in Adelaide a little after noon.

Please note that a minimum number of 4 participants is required for this tour to go ahead. If this number is not reached, the tour will be cancelled, and you will, of course, get your money back.
