You can read more below about some of the experiences that await you, all depending on the trip you choose.
Buenos Aires is Argentina’s capital and known as the Paris of South America, with its wide boulevards and beautiful architecture, which is hard not to fall in love with. The city was founded in the 16th century, making it one of Argentina’s oldest cities.
Argentina – and Buenos Aires in particular – is known as the birthplace of tango. And there is ample opportunity to experience the seductive tango in Buenos Aires for beginners and experts alike. See tango being danced in the streets, visit one of the local tango joints, milognas, or experience one of the most magnificent tango shows.
But tango is not just a dance and a music genre – it’s a lifestyle! And a visit to Buenos Aires is not complete until you have experienced the sensual tango, both the dance and the ambience.
Buenos Aires is full of interesting neighbourhoods, where, among other things, you will encounter the Spanish and Italian cultural heritage.
In La Boca, or the working-class neighbourhood, you can experience “Caminito”, a street museum filled with colourful houses that were typical of the Italian immigrants in the 1800–1900s.
San Telmo is Buenos Aires’ oldest neighbourhood, known as the artists’ quarter with cobbled streets, antique shops and, of course, the presence of many artists and musicians.
In one of Buenos Aires’ more affluent neighbourhoods, Recoleta, there are lots of museums and cultural attractions, and this is also where you will find the famous Recoleta cemetery where Eva Perón (Evita), among others, lies buried.
The Iguazú Falls are situated on the border between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
Iguazú consists of 275 waterfalls, large and small, spread over almost 2.7 km and varying between 60 and 82 metres in height.
On our tour, you will experience the thundering volumes of water from both the Argentine and the Brazilian sides.
On the Argentine side, you come right up close to the largest of the waterfalls, Garganta del Diablo or the Devil’s Throat, via a network of walkways. The rainforest surrounding the waterfalls also offers wonderful flora and fauna.
On the Brazilian side, you get to see the falls from different angles and you have access to a viewing platform offering a spectacular view of Garganta del Diablo.
Argentina has a wine tradition that goes back several centuries.
Mendoza is one of Argentina’s oldest cities, originally founded by the Spanish in the 1560s, but known today as Argentina’s wine capital. The area, which lies in the western part of Argentina, accounts for almost 70% of Argentina’s wine production and is perhaps especially well-known for its Malbec wine.
You visit vineyards in the wine regions Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu, where you learn more about the process behind the wine production.
In the southern part of Argentina is the town of El Calafate, the capital of the Santa Cruz province. El Calafate is a great base for exploring the Los Glaciers National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and offers abundant flora.
The park has more than 350 glaciers, the most famous of which is the Perito Moreno Glacier, which is 60 metres high and 4 km wide. The bluish glacier can be seen from afar, and when the ice occasionally falls into the lake, it gives rise to a unique and powerful show.
