Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw
Situated between the red acacia trees on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater is the charming Lion’s Paw “camp” – if you can call it a camp. The rooms might be luxury tents with canvas walls, but they have solid floors, proper doors and windows and large sliding doors opening onto your own private balcony.
Meals are enjoyed in the main building, which – like the tents – is charmingly appointed with muted colours, soft sofas and, of course, with the unique view of nature outside.
The campfire is lit on the large, shared veranda in the evening, and the cosy bar/lounge serves fabulous cocktails for the sunset.
Due to the camp’s elevated position, it can get chilly in the evening and at night, but naturally, the beds have electric blankets, so you won’t freeze at night!
