Cooking school at The Red Bridge – morning

The cuisine of Hoi An is quite different to that of both North and South Vietnam and offers a number of hugely popular specialities. Hoi An is especially famous for its Cao Lau, a mix of noodles, pork and pickled peppers, and Mi Quang, which is a noodle dish with boiled quail eggs and pieces of baked rice cakes. Today, you will have the opportunity to learn how to make some of these from scratch.

From the collection point, you will head to the local market together with the guide. Afterwards, you will sail on the Thu Bon River to the Red Bridge Cooking School, where the class takes place. An enthusiastic chef will be waiting to share the secrets of the dishes with you. Before that, you will be given a tour of the school’s own kitchen garden, where some of today’s ingredients come from.

When your masterpieces are complete, you will enjoy them for lunch, along with a few other local delights.

Duration: approx. 5 hours

Please note: On this excursion, you will have to make your own way to the collection point. Information on how to get there appears on your voucher.

This excursion is open to TourCompass’ own guests only.

We recommend that you book the excursion when booking the tour.
