Set off on a challenging and atmospheric hike from Kaura, following little, hidden footpaths in the Manggis area. The route will lead you through dense, lush forest, past village houses and everyday scenes where bantam hens roam free and life moves at an unhurried pace.
Along the way, you’ll be guided by an experienced local hiking guide from Manggis, who knows the area inside out and will share insights into the nature and surroundings. The paths wind through varied terrain, making the walk both demanding and rewarding, before you reach the beautiful Jagasatru waterfall. Here, a natural pool awaits, where the cool water offers a well-earned pause and a chance to cool off.
Afterwards, the route continues to a spiritual site that marks the end of the day’s hike. Here, an impressive statue of Brahma forms a peaceful focal point, surrounded by nature and sweeping views of the landscape.
You’ll be collected and driven back to Kaura, where a well-earned and delicious lunch awaits.
This hike is for you if you’d like to get moving, get close to Bali’s nature, and explore an area well off the beaten track.
