Join your child on a delightful, sensory adventure in the village of Manggis, heading out with a local guide to explore nature together. Children will be given their own nature bingo card, turning the walk into a playful experience, with curiosity, observation, and shared moments at its heart. The pace is gentle and tailored to children, so there’s time to look, listen, and wonder along the way.
The walk will take you through emerald rice fields and along the small subak irrigation channels that carry water through the landscape. Life is everywhere: frogs croak in the water, tiny fish weave between the rice plants, and birds glide over the fields in search of ripe grains of rice. With the guide’s help, children will learn to spot nature’s smallest details, ticking them off their nature bingo cards as they go.
The route continues into the lush forest, where cacao trees and mangosteen promise new discoveries. The guide will talk about the plants and demonstrate how the fruits are harvested, while the children keep an eye out for colourful birds, beetles, and butterflies that make the forest their home. Here, nature feels vivid and close, and learning happens naturally through play and discovery.
The adventure wraps up by the pool, where bingo cards are compared and the children get a stamp to mark the day’s discoveries.
The excursion is an enjoyable and educational experience that gives the whole family an insight into nature and everyday life in Manggis, creating memories that last long after the tour.
Afterwards, a delicious lunch awaits at Kaura’s restaurant.
