Baitong Hotel & Resort

Baitong Hotel & Resort is a true oasis in the heart of Phnom Penh. The hotel enjoys a great location within walking distance of the city’s sights such as the Silver Pagoda and Wat Phnom Temple as well as its night market and the iconic yellow building that houses the Central Market. The bustling riverbank, where you can experience the Mekong River and the Tonle Sap River converging, is not far away either.

The hotel is modern and brightly appointed with lovely rustic details – note especially the winding staircase, columns and walls. Cosy nooks where you can sit and relax with a good book are dotted about the hotel.

The rustic, modern design carries through into the rooms, which are incredibly inviting and cosily appointed in warm colours. All 105 rooms have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a minibar, a safe and a kettle, so you can make a cup of tea or coffee. In the bathroom, you’ll find bathrobes, slippers, toiletries and a hair dryer.

The garden is like a small oasis brimming with greenery, tropical plants and even palm trees and ponds. Peace and quiet prevail here, only interrupted by the bubbling jacuzzi, the water from which gushes like a waterfall into the pool below.

There is also a pleasant sun terrace with sun loungers, parasols and a glass-bottomed swimming pool.

Every morning, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet in the hotel’s main restaurant, consisting of Western and Asian dishes. For lunch or dinner you can visit “Kuang Seafood Restaurant” – a famous seafood restaurant which is also found in Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan and now at Baiting Hotel & Resort in Cambodia. Here, you can enjoy the most delicious seafood with the restaurant’s famous seafood sauce, created by Mr Kuang many moons ago and passed down through the generations.

At the end of the day, you can make your way to the hotel’s cosy and atmospheric rooftop bar, “Lantern Bar”. The bar overlooks the city and, as you’ve probably guessed, features lots of lovely lanterns and candles. Enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine as the sun sets behind the high-rise buildings of Phnom Penh, after which the roof terrace is illuminated by the glow of the lanterns as the music quietly plays in the background.
