Discover Tokyo’s modern and playful side on an inspiring afternoon tour through the city’s most iconic districts for youth, fashion, and entertainment.
You’ll meet your guide at your hotel and head for Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s most vibrant areas. Around Shibuya Station, you’ll find everything from trendy fashion boutiques and music cafés to enormous advertising screens lighting up the district — and, of course, the world-famous pedestrian crossing, Shibuya Crossing. Your guide will take you to the best photo spots while sharing stories about the neighbourhood’s role as the heart of Japanese street and youth culture.
The tour then continues to Tokyo’s legendary fashion hub, Harajuku, where you can explore the lively Takeshita-dori street and its many shops brimming with creativity, colour, and youthful energy. Here, you’ll gain a fascinating insight into Japanese street fashion, where avant-garde trends exist harmoniously alongside the adorable kawaii style.
The final stop is the vibrant Akihabara district, known as the mecca of manga art and video games, where anime characters, manga drawings, and gaming arcades dominate the streetscape. Your guide will lead you through the colourful streets, shares insights into Japanese entertainment culture, and take you to one of the many gaming arcades where you can try your hand at some of Japan’s most popular games – from classic arcade machines to the famous Japanese drumming game, Taiko no Tatsujin.
The tour concludes in the lively streets of Akihabara, where your guide will be happy to suggest places to eat or recommend spots for further exploration on your own.
