Ashnil Samburu Camp

On the banks of “the brown river” in the Buffalo Springs part of Samburu is where you’ll find this camp.

There are 30 tents, all of which have their own terrace outside overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro river (which means the brown river). Kenya’s third-longest river, it is in many ways the lifeline to this northern part of Kenya.

The spacious tents all have their own bathrooms, showers with hot and cold water and a flushing toilet. The floors in the tents are solid wood while the walls are canvas, allowing you to both hear and smell the nature outside. You get to enjoy an authentic “bush experience”, without having to compromise on comfort.

The camp has a lovely pool, so you can cool off in this often hot, dry part of Kenya, and from the restaurant you have uninterrupted views of the stunning countryside around you.
