Sungura Safari Camp

Just a short drive from the gate to Amboseli National Park lies the charming Sungura Safari Camp. Nestled among acacia trees and wild raisin bushes are the camp’s eight cottages and eighteen tents, all furnished with wooden furniture including a bed, desk, and armchairs.

This isn’t luxurious in the extravagant sense, but rather comfortable charm full of personality. All cottages and tents have tea and coffee-making facilities, a private bathroom with a shower, and a private veranda overlooking the distinctive acacia trees. The tents are raised on platforms to allow air to circulate freely, and the double roofing helps protect against the occasionally high temperatures in Amboseli.

Meals are enjoyed in the cosy restaurant, beautifully decorated in Maasai style, and after a warm day on safari the swimming pool tempts you with a refreshing dip. From the sunset deck by the pool, you can enjoy a truly spectacular sunset with a view of Kilimanjaro – a sight you’ll remember for a long time.

There is also Wi-Fi available in all rooms and communal areas, making it easy to share the day’s experiences with loved ones back home.
