Excursion to Puebla and the Cholula ruins
After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Cholula ruins. On the way to Cholula, sit back and enjoy the view of the towering Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes in the landscape.
Upon arrival at the Cholula ruins, you’ll witness the world’s largest man-made pyramid, ‘Tlachihualtepetl’. Built in several stages, it’s believed to have been started around 300 BC. A fascinating sight, it stands today as a testament to the ancient civilisation that once ruled the area. Your guide will tell you much more about this.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit the impressive cathedral in Puebla, after which you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city on your own.
Lunch can be enjoyed at your own expense in Puebla.
