Today, you can look forward to a relaxing excursion to Taboga Island, a small island in the Bay of Panama just a short boat ride from Panama City.
You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the harbour, where the ferry will depart for the island. During the crossing, enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean as Panama City’s modern skyline slowly fades into the horizon.
After about half an hour at sea, you’ll arrive at Taboga Island, also known as “Isla de las Flores” – the Island of Flowers. This little gem is famed for its laid-back atmosphere, colourful houses, and stunning sandy beaches.
You’ll have plenty of time to explore the island at your own pace. Take a stroll through the charming village with its cosy streets and local shops, or visit the historic San Pedro Church, considered one of the oldest in Latin America. You can also unwind on the beach and enjoy a refreshing swim in the warm sea. Sun loungers and parasols can be hired on the beach for around 5–10 USD.
Along the seafront, you’ll find several small restaurants and cafés where you can savour local dishes and freshly caught fish while admiring the view of the bay.
There are also some great hiking trails that lead you to the island’s best viewpoints.
Later in the day, the ferry will sail back to Panama City, where you’ll be picked up at the harbour and driven back to your hotel.
Duration: approx. 8 hours
The tour includes: transfer between the hotel and harbour, and a return ferry ticket
