The ultimate cruise on the Zambezi River

This tour is a combination of two sailing trips on the Zambezi.

The first part of the tour is like a river safari. You sail at a sedate pace along the many channels between the islands in the Zambezi. The trees on the river banks and on the small islands in the middle of the river attract a wealth of birds, and here and there a hippo pops its head above water. The crocodiles resemble tree trunks, lying half in the water, half ashore. The elephants slide into the water and swim across to the islands – always on the look-out for a new tree to rub up against. A snack and a drink are enjoyed on one of the small islands in the middle of the river,

where you will be picked up by another boat and head off on what is now a sunset trip. The sunset is enjoyed from “The African Queen” or “The African Princess” – two classic catamarans with teak decks and a colonial vibe.

The tour takes approx. 2½ hours.
