The Laguna Chiewlarn Floating Resort
The Laguna Chiewlarn Floating Resort is nestled in the tranquil Cheow Lan Lake within the lush surroundings of Khao Sok National Park. Here, you’ll reside in a floating bungalow surrounded by dense rainforest and towering limestone cliffs.
The resort offers a total of 31 rooms, accommodating up to three people each. They are classified as ‘deluxe’, but do not expect luxury – simplicity is key here. The rooms feature basic furnishings with a comfortable bed, private bathroom (without hot water), and a small terrace complete with a kayak and direct lake access. Start your day with a swim or simply enjoy the peace, only occasionally interrupted by the Asian koel as the mist gradually lifts over the emerald waters – it is truly a magical experience. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, but air conditioning is provided. Please note that electricity is available only from 6 PM to 6 AM.
Meals are enjoyed in the communal restaurant, which serves classic Thai dishes with views of the lake and jungle. All meals are included, and the atmosphere is relaxed and social.
The Laguna Chiewlarn Floating Resort is not for those in search of luxury, but it is perfect for those wanting to connect with nature and experience a completely different side of Thailand.
Children are very welcome at The Laguna Chiewlarn Floating Resort, but please note that there are no specific areas designated for children. Parents are responsible for supervising their children throughout the stay. It’s recommended to bring a life jacket for the youngest children to wear during the entire visit.
