Speedboat tour to the Phi Phi Islands

Join us for an unforgettable full-day tour to the iconic Phi Phi Islands – one of Thailand’s most photographed paradises.

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Royal Phuket Marina, allowing you to reach Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon before the majority of day-trippers arrive. Our local partner has their own speedboat, which you’ll be travelling on. Upon arrival at the marina, you’ll be served a light breakfast complete with croissants or sandwiches, as well as tea and coffee.

The speedboat then sets off from the marina. The journey is swift over the open sea, with the waves gently rocking the boat. After 45–60 minutes, you’ll arrive at Phi Phi Leh, the smaller of the two Phi Phi Islands, and especially famous for Maya Bay, where the film The Beach was shot. Here, you’ll come ashore via a floating platform and follow a wooden walkway into the bay, surrounded by towering cliffs. Maya Bay is the very image of a postcard, with its powdery white sand, turquoise waters, and dramatic limestone cliffs. Although swimming isn’t permitted here, you can paddle and walk along the shoreline, taking in the breathtaking scenery.

Next, you’ll sail on to Pileh Lagoon, one of the most breathtaking spots in Thailand. The lagoon is encircled by towering limestone cliffs rising straight from the clear, turquoise water. Traditional longtail boats gently rock in the lagoon, creating a picture-perfect backdrop. Take a refreshing dip straight from the boat and soak up the magical surroundings.

The tour continues past Viking Cave and on to Monkey Beach (Ao Ling) on the western side of Phi Phi Don, the largest of the Phi Phi Islands. The beach gets its name from the wild monkeys that make their home on the powdery white sands. The monkeys can be cheeky and might try to snatch your belongings, so we recommend leaving anything valuable on the boat or making sure it’s safely tucked away. On Phi Phi Don, you can choose to walk up to the island’s famous viewpoint, wander through Phi Phi Don Village, or simply relax on the beach.

Afterwards, you’ll head to a picturesque snorkelling spot off Phi Phi Don, where you can swim among colourful fish and corals – all equipment is, of course, included.

Lunch is enjoyed on the idyllic Bamboo Island, where you’ll have the rest of the time to swim, sunbathe, or simply soak up the surroundings before the boat makes its way back to Phuket. You’ll return to Royal Phuket Marina in the middle of the afternoon, after which you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.

Please note that Maya Bay closes to visitors from August 1st to September 30th each year to protect and restore the local ecosystems and natural resources. During this period, you will instead have the opportunity to capture stunning photos from the boat just outside the restricted area. All other stops and activities will go ahead as planned.
