Bike tour with Ride 4 A Woman
The NGO Ride 4 A Woman started in 2009 as a small bicycle workshop in Buhoma. Women were trained to repair bicycles, the preferred mode of transport in the area.
The bicycle workshop eventually expanded to include bicycle rentals for tourists, and more projects were added under the NGO’s umbrella.
Today, Ride 4 A Woman is a highly successful project with a myriad of activities, as well as its own hotel, school, restaurant, and more. But today’s tour takes you back to the project’s roots – the bicycles.
Ahead awaits a guided bike tour through the local villages, accompanied by a guide who will share insights into daily life in Uganda. There’s no fixed route, allowing you to set the pace and decide where to go. The tour lasts between 2-4 hours, with bikes of different sizes and helmets for everyone. And don’t worry, the bikes are in great condition – after all, it all began with a bicycle workshop…
