Hiking to waterfalls in Bwindi
Bwindi Forest is one of the world’s oldest rainforests and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site for its conservation-worthy nature. While the forest is predominantly known for its gorillas, it offers many other stunning and scenic experiences. It boasts a rich bird life, antelopes, and a variety of other primates beyond the gorillas, such as colobus monkeys – and true to any rainforest, there are also rivers and waterfalls to discover.
This guided tour winds through the forest to a picturesque waterfall. Along the way, there’s ample opportunity to spot birds and butterflies, become acquainted with various plants, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of a mammal or two.
The hike takes 2-4 hours, and most people should be able to complete it without any issues.
