Hanoi street food tour
Enjoy an atmospheric evening discovering the tastes of northern Vietnam on a street food tour through the bustling alleyways of Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
Make your own way to the starting point, Hidden Gem Café, a tucked-away and sustainable coffee bar where you’ll be given a short introduction and can see how the iconic Vietnamese egg coffee is prepared.
From here, wander down the narrow lanes and let your taste buds lead the way: sample crisp nem ran (spring rolls), the world-famous pho (noodle soup), sweet banh ran (deep-fried rice balls), and crunchy fried chicken thighs. Along the way, stroll down Hang Ma Street for a glimpse into local culture and daily life, before continuing to the charming bamboo corner—a cosy street spot brimming with bamboo crafts and bustling with locals.
Round off the evening with a classic Vietnamese banh mi (baguette) at a local favourite haunt. Finally, relax with an ice-cold bia hoi (draught beer) at the legendary Bia Hoi Corner, before either heading back to your hotel or lingering on to soak up more of the vibrant atmosphere on Ta Hien Street at your own pace.
Duration: approximately 3.5 hours.
This excursion is also open to guests other than TourCompass’ own guests.
