Situated in an historic building from 1887 – in the middle of Sydney’s old quarter – is the charming boutique hotel, Harbour Rocks.
The history behind the hotel is otherwise anything but charming. Built by convicts, it was actually Sydney’s first hospital. Fortunately, it has undergone many changes since then, but the thick sandstone walls are still there.
Here, you are surrounded by history, cosy cafés, fabulous restaurants, modern galleries and trendy shops – and you’re a mere stone’s throw away from the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay with all the ferries.
The hotel, which has 59 rooms, is furnished in a charming mix of old and new. All rooms have a flatscreen TV, air conditioning, a safe, an iron, tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar and Wi-Fi.
There is a restaurant, bar and gym here, and as mentioned above, you have countless cafés and restaurants right on your doorstep. Please note that there is no lift in the historic building.
