Holiday Inn is located in the charming and historic Potts Point district – right on the edge of Kings Cross. Turn left from the hotel and you’ll find yourself in cosy narrow streets filled with cafés and the beautiful Art Deco architecture the area is famous for. To the right lies Kings Cross, renowned for its lively nightlife and colourful atmosphere. Here, you can set your own pace – whether you prefer tranquil surroundings or wish to experience Sydney’s more vibrant side.
The hotel has eight floors and 288 modern, spacious rooms, all equipped with air conditioning, cable TV, ironing facilities, a safety box, a mini fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
You have the option to upgrade your room to a premium room offering stunning views of Sydney’s harbour and skyline.
The hotel also features a small fitness room, meeting facilities, and its own restaurant, Sirocco Restaurant & Bar, which serves a fine selection of classic and contemporary Australian dishes in a laid-back setting. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also has a small outdoor terrace overlooking Victoria Street – the perfect spot to enjoy your meal and drinks after a day of sightseeing and exploring Sydney.
At Sirocco Bar, you’ll find a water dispenser where you can fill your reusable water bottle with cold water before heading out for the day’s activities – an initiative introduced by the hotel to reduce the use of single-use plastic.
There’s a wide selection of shopping, trendy cafés, bars, and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, attracting both visitors and locals alike. We recommend Restaurant Butler, just a short walk from the hotel – advance booking is advised.
The Holiday Inn is also conveniently located next to Kings Cross Station, which connects the area to the rest of the city. For example, you can reach Circular Quay Station in about 20 minutes by train (with one change at Town Hall Station), from where you can stroll to the Opera House or hop on one of the many ferries linking the city centre with its suburbs.
You can also walk from the hotel to the Opera House via Woolloomooloo Wharf and Sydney’s beautiful Botanical Gardens – a walk of around 30 minutes. A taxi back to the hotel costs approximately 20 AUD.
