Full-day excursion to Moreton Island

Moreton Island, also known as Mulgumpin, is one of the world’s largest sand islands. It’s especially famous for its long sandy beaches, towering dunes, crystal-clear lagoons, and the abundance of marine life in the waters surrounding the island. Look forward to a relaxing day where you can soak up the tropical island atmosphere and truly slow down the pace.

From Brisbane, you’ll be driven to the harbour, where the ferry departs for Tangalooma Island Resort on Moreton Island. The beautiful ferry ride across Moreton Bay takes around 75 minutes.

Your base for the day is Tangalooma Island Resort, where you can hire snorkelling gear, stand-up paddleboards, and kayaks to explore on your own adventure. You can also purchase guided activities ranging from Segway and ATV tours to island excursions and snorkelling trips around the old shipwrecks lying close to the shore. These wrecks have formed an artificial reef, now home to a wide variety of reef fish, coral formations, and marine creatures.

All tours and activities are subject to availability.

You might instead choose to simply relax on the beach, take a dip in the clear waters, or enjoy the resort’s swimming pools, restaurants, and bars. Your tour includes a lunch voucher worth AUD 25 per adult and AUD 20 per child, which can be used at the resort’s restaurants.

Whether you’re after relaxation or adventure, Moreton Island offers the perfect blend of beach life and nature experiences in stunning surroundings.

In the late afternoon, you’ll sail back to Brisbane after a day filled with sunshine, sea, and unforgettable moments.
