The Elk & Avenue Hotel
Elk & Avenue Hotel is situated right on Banff Avenue – the main street in one of Canada’s most iconic mountain towns, Banff. Here, you’ll be perfectly placed with charming shops, cosy cafés, and inviting restaurants just steps from your door, while the spectacular landscapes of the Rocky Mountains are within easy reach. If you wish to explore the area without a car, shuttle buses to popular attractions such as Banff Gondola, Lake Minnewanka, and Upper Hot Springs stop just a short walk from the hotel.
The hotel features 162 rooms, all tastefully decorated in muted tones and furnished with elegant wooden furniture. Each room comes equipped with a TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, a coffee machine, a mini-fridge, and a private bathroom.
When hunger strikes, you can visit the hotel’s very own restaurant, Farm & Fire, serving up rustic dishes cooked over an open flame, with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner here (at an extra charge). After a day outdoors, round things off with a coffee, sandwich, or something sweet at the cosy Good Earth Coffeehouse, located in the hotel lobby.
If you’re looking to unwind after a day spent in the great outdoors, head to the hotel’s wellness area, where you’ll find both a sauna and an indoor jacuzzi. There are also facilities for storing skis and bikes, laundry services, and the hotel’s own Adventure Centre can help you book excursions and activities.
The hotel offers parking in a heated underground garage for an additional fee (approx. 10 CAD per night).
