Boat trip on Maligne Lake and visit to Spirit Island
Join us on a breathtaking boat trip on Maligne Lake, one of the most beautiful and iconic lakes in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
You’ll cruise across the crystal-clear, turquoise glacial waters, surrounded by towering peaks and pristine wilderness, as your guide brings the area’s history vividly to life. Maligne Lake stretches for around 22 kilometres, making it the largest glacially formed lake in the Canadian Rockies. The surrounding landscape still bears unmistakable traces of the last Ice Age, with dramatic rock formations, deep glacier-carved valleys along the mountainsides, and lofty summits rising over 3,300 metres high.
During the journey, you’ll get up close to the world-famous Spirit Island, which can only be reached by boat. Here, you’ll disembark and have time to soak up the peace and quiet, capture some fantastic photos, and experience the unique light that has made the island one of Canada’s most photographed locations.
The boat boasts large panoramic windows and an outdoor deck, so you can admire the scenery whatever the weather.
