Columbia Icefield Skywalk
Experience the awe-inspiring Columbia Icefield Skywalk, where a stunning glass walkway takes you 280 metres above the dramatic Sunwapta Valley along the iconic Icefields Parkway, right in the heart of Jasper National Park.
Your tour begins at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre, from where you’ll be transported by bus to the viewing point. Here, you’ll find a one-kilometre-long walkway built directly out from the cliff-face. You’re free to stroll at your own pace and discover fascinating exhibitions about the region’s geology, wildlife, and history along the way.
The highlight of your visit is the glass-floored viewing platform, where, with nothing beneath your feet but glass, you can soak up the dramatic views of deep valleys, ancient glaciers, and thundering waterfalls. A heart-stopping experience and a view you’ll remember for years to come.
Remember to bring: Warm clothing, as it can be chilly on the glacier.
