Guided tour of Cape Town on foot

Cape Town is actually best experienced on foot. Go on a guided walk and enjoy a good introduction to the city and its history, culture and architecture.

The tour departs from the Mandela Rhodes Place Hotel and takes you past some of the biggest highlights of the city. You walk through Company Gardens, explore the murals in the bustling streets of the city centre, visit the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood and make your way past the ever-busy market on Green Market Square; the perfect place to buy souvenirs.

Along the way, the guide tells you about the history of the city. You will not only learn more about slavery and apartheid, but also about freedom, hope and the dream of a better future.

The tour rounds off with a beer or glass of wine, and you have time to ask the guide the final questions.

The tour is free in principle, but you give the guide a 150 Rand tip at the end of the tour. The departure time of the tour is agreed with the guide on your arrival in Cape Town.
