Excursion to Corcovado National Park – San Pedrillo Station
If you simply can’t get enough of Costa Rica’s incredible wildlife and nature, join us for yet another adventure in Corcovado National Park.
There are several entry points into the national park, and today’s excursion takes you to a new area of Corcovado National Park – San Pedrillo Station.
The itinerary is similar to the previous day, with an early morning pick-up. You’ll travel by boat from Drake Bay to San Pedrillo Station, a scenic journey of around 45 minutes.
Your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights into the unique plants and wildlife you’ll encounter along the way. With a bit of luck, you might even spot some exciting species you didn’t see the day before.
This part of the park also offers opportunities to encounter various monkey species, tapirs, sloths, coatis, peccaries, anteaters, and, on rare occasions, some of Costa Rica’s elusive wild cats, such as the jaguar, puma, ocelot, margay, and jaguarundi.
There’s a small waterfall in the park where, at certain times of the year, you can take a refreshing dip after your walk, should you wish.
Lunch is included and will be enjoyed on the beautiful San Josecito beach on your way back to Drake Bay.
Starting and finishing point: Your hotel in Drake Bay.
Duration: Approximately 7–8 hours (around 5 of which are spent in the national park).
Group size: A maximum of 8 people per guide inside the national park, though there may be more people in the boats to and from the park.
Price includes: Transport (by car and boat), an English-speaking guide, lunch, and entrance to the national park.
Remember to bring: Good walking shoes/boots, sunscreen with a high UV factor, insect repellent, a rain poncho, water in a reusable bottle, and, if you wish, swimwear and seasickness tablets.
Important to note: This excursion departs daily except during October. However, there are a limited number of tickets available each day, so we recommend booking well in advance of your departure.
