In Hemingway’s footsteps (morning)

Follow in the footsteps of the famous author from the seat of a brightly coloured American car and visit his favourite haunts in Havana.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven out to Hemingway’s former residence, Finca Vigía, in the outskirts of Havana. Today, the house has been transformed into an exciting museum about the author’s life. You continue from here to the pleasant fishing hamlet Cojimar, where he drew inspiration for his novel “The Old Man and the Sea”. At the restaurant Las Terrazas de Cojimar, a complimentary drink is served that Hemingway would have ordered were he still around today. From the restaurant, there is a short walk down to the Cojimar fortress, where a statue of Hemingway has been erected.

In Havana, you’ll also visit the hotel Ambos Mundos and its room 511, where Hemingway stayed and wrote his books before moving out to Finca Vigía. The excursion rounds off with a visit to his favourite bars in the old town: El Floridita and La Bodeguita.

You also have the option of choosing an ordinary car with air conditioning for the excursion (at an additional cost).

Please note that there are no seatbelts in the American cars.

Duration: approx. 3-4 hours

The price applies when there are at least 2 people.
