Diamonds Malindi

A couple of hours’ drive north of Mombasa is the small coastal town of Malindi. Here, you’ll encounter far fewer tourists than in Mombasa and Diani to the south, offering a more authentic and local atmosphere compared to Diani.

The five-star resort, Diamonds Malindi, is a combination of three original hotels, now merged into one expansive resort. This means a vast array of room types, three different pools, three restaurants, and a wealth of space in the charming gardens filled with loungers set amongst exotic flowers and trees – and, naturally, on the beach.

All rooms feature either a private terrace or balcony with furniture, ideal for enjoying the outdoors. The rooms are spacious, equipped with air conditioning, a mini fridge (which can be stocked with soft drinks and local beers upon request at reception), a safety box, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee facilities, as well as Wi-Fi. Additionally, Wi-Fi is available in the common areas.

The hotel operates on an “All Inclusive” basis, and the package includes the following:

The beach in front of Diamonds Malindi isn’t as powdery and white as Diani’s beach. However, if you prefer the pool, it doesn’t matter. If you’re after a pristine beach experience, you can spend the day at Exploreans Beach Club, located just over 10 km south of Diamonds Malindi. Transport, use of sun loungers, and towels at the Exploreans Beach Club are included in your stay, although food and drinks at the club are at your own expense.
