Palissandre Cote Ouest Resort & Spa
Palissandre Côte Ouest sits right on the edge of Morondava, directly on the beachfront. It’s a tranquil haven where you can truly unwind and simply enjoy the soothing sounds of waves and the gentle breeze rustling through the palm trees.
The resort features charming, dark-wood bungalows dotted along the beach, set amongst a lovely mix of flowering shrubs and climbing plants. Every bungalow has its own terrace, offering a view across either the sea or the garden, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a sundowner with your drink in hand and your toes almost touching the sand.
The interiors are stylish yet understated, with wooden floors, large comfy beds draped with mosquito nets, and beautiful touches in sisal and textiles. You’ll find air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a safety box, and a minibar in every bungalow, while the bright and spacious bathrooms are fitted with both a shower and toiletries.
The swimming pool overlooks the sea and is surrounded by roomy sunbeds, an inviting setting for a peaceful day with a good book and a refreshing dip in the cool water. The wide, peaceful beach below is perfect for a leisurely stroll in the warm sand.
The restaurant serves delicious dishes, including freshly caught fish and locally sourced ingredients, while breakfast can be enjoyed on the shady terrace. Situated right by the pool, the bar is just the place to end the day, watching the sun set over the ocean.
Palissandre Côte Ouest is a little oasis in the otherwise lively coastal town of Morondava – an ideal spot to relax either before or after a tour to the Avenue of the Baobabs or Kirindy Reserve.
