Situated at an altitude of 3,272 metres, with an indescribably breathtaking view over one of the mountainsides, Laban Rata Resthouse serves as your haven after a day filled with hours of hiking. It offers a cosy gathering spot with a unique atmosphere, where fellow hikers share the same experience as yourself.
Your night’s sleep will be in a bunk bed within a shared room, accommodating 4-12 hikers. You’ll have your very own bed, complete with freshly laundered sheets, pillow, and duvet. If you’re a light sleeper, we recommend bringing earplugs.
Since Laban Rata Resthouse uses solar panels as its heating source, warmth and hot water are rare luxuries. You can therefore expect a chilly shower (in a communal, gender-separated bathroom), which fortunately aids recovery, before you settle under your warm duvet in a room with an approximate temperature of 15-18 degrees Celsius.
Laban Rata Resthouse takes pride in serving tasty and nourishing meals for breakfast, dinner, and even during the night, despite its remote location. Snacks can be purchased at The Goodie Bag Shop, which offers a limited selection as well as souvenirs from your trek.
