Na Balam Hotel is a charming, intimate oasis located just a stone’s throw from the ever-popular Playa Norte beach. Simply cross the road and follow a little path, and you’ll find yourself with your feet in the soft white sand, gazing out across the sparkling azure sea.

The hotel features 12 rooms, housed in cosy bungalows dotted between lush greenery and verdant vegetation. The rooms are simply decorated with dark wooden furniture and come equipped with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a safety box, a mini fridge, a TV, Wi-Fi, as well as a balcony or terrace.

Take a refreshing dip in the pool or unwind on a sun lounger in the shade with a good book. The hotel also offers daily yoga classes, giving you every opportunity to unwind and completely relax. If you fancy a bit of pampering, you can book yourself in for a soothing massage.

If you prefer a swim in the crystal-clear sea, the hotel has reserved sun loungers and parasols for you at Playa Norte – the perfect spot for a siesta in the gentle Caribbean breeze.

Breakfast is served at the hotel’s sister restaurant just across the road. If you’re feeling peckish later, you’ll be spoilt for choice at the nearby restaurants, where everything from Mexican specialities to international dishes is on offer.

The island’s pedestrian street is a short walk from the hotel, where you’ll discover colourful souvenirs and locally crafted artworks for sale.
