In Arabic, ‘ksar’ means fortress or town – and, in many ways, that’s precisely how Ksar Ighnda feels.
This three-star boutique hotel, located close to Ait-Ben Haddou (itself an authentic ksar), is designed as a miniature village, complete with towers, terraces, gardens, and Bedouin tents.
The hotel offers 80 rooms, ranging from standard rooms to suites. While the suites are naturally more spacious, every room features its own bathroom and air conditioning. All rooms from the superior category and upwards have either direct access to the garden or a terrace. Although standard rooms lack this particular luxury, there are plenty of inviting communal spaces for all guests to enjoy.
The swimming pool beckons for a refreshing dip before you settle down for dinner in the hotel’s restaurant.
There is Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and on selected evenings, live entertainment is hosted in the Bedouin tent.
