Jet boat adventure
Get ready for an adrenaline rush and breathtaking scenery on this action-packed jet boat experience – a true New Zealand invention.
Your journey begins at Queenstown Pier, where you’ll board a powerful jet boat. Prepare for an hour-long adventure as you skim across Lake Wakatipu before speeding down the Kawarau and Shotover Rivers. Along the way, you’ll reach exhilarating speeds of up to 95 km/h, experiencing wild 360° spins and daring manoeuvres through shallow waters – often with just a few centimetres beneath the boat. It’s both a technical feat and a feast for the senses, and we guarantee you’ll feel your stomach leap, find a smile spreading across your face, and – yes – you might even get a little wet along the way.
This experience isn’t just about speed and excitement; you’ll also be treated to spectacular views of Queenstown’s alpine scenery, dramatic rock formations, and crystal-clear rivers. Your skilled captain will guide you safely throughout the tour, sharing fascinating insights into the region’s natural wonders and history.
Jet boats are a source of national pride in New Zealand. Developed in the mid-20th century to master the country’s wild, shallow rivers, it’s no wonder that jet boat adventures have become one of New Zealand’s most popular activities.
