Sailing trip to Waiheke Island including lunch at Man O' War Vineyard

Join us on an unforgettable sailing trip to the scenic Waiheke Island – just a 90-minute sail from Auckland. Here awaits a delicious lunch including a glass of wine at the award-winning Man O’ War Vineyard.

Waiheke Island is a scenic gem known for its beaches, artistic community, and exceptional wine production. The island boasts over 30 vineyards, each offering unique tasting experiences. Its mild and sunny climate creates ideal conditions for red wines like Bordeaux blends, Syrah, and Merlot, which have put Waiheke on the international wine map. Additionally, you’ll find refreshing white wines like Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay.

The tour begins at Viaduct Harbour in Auckland, where you’ll catch a catamaran ferry to Waiheke Island. The ferry ride takes you through the picturesque Hauraki Gulf with views of islands and coastlines before arriving at Man O’ War Bay on the island’s eastern side.

Man O’ War Vineyard is renowned for its award-winning wines and relaxed atmosphere. Look forward to enjoying lunch at the vineyard’s own restaurant, The Tasting Room, which offers panoramic views over the bay.

If you’re keen to sample a variety of wines, you can opt for a wine flight (approximately 24 NZD), which is a tasting of small glasses showcasing several of the vineyard’s own wines.

After lunch, you have the freedom to take a stroll along the beach or a swim in the clear waters of Man O’ War Bay.

In the afternoon, the tour returns to Auckland by ferry.

Start and end point: Booking kiosk, Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour (address and time can be found on your voucher). Note that you must arrange your own transport to and from the start point.

Duration: Approximately 6-7 hours (ferry time 2 x 1.5 hours).

The price includes: Catamaran ferry to/from Waiheke Island and lunch including 1 glass of wine.

Remember to bring: Weather-appropriate clothing, camera, and possibly swimwear.

Note: The tour departs daily from October to April. From May to September, the tour runs only on weekends. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the tour to take place. If this minimum is not met, you will, of course, receive a full refund.
