Morning bushwalk at Nkambeni Private Concession

A bushwalk in the wilderness is very different from a traditional game drive. The focus is on the plants, sounds, scents, tracks – in fact everything other than the big animals. It is a fantastic experience to walk through the landscape with a well-trained guide who tells you about the bush along the way. Learn more about the animals’ behaviour and how the guides “read” the animals (which have certainly seen you, long before you see them), and get closer to the small animals and plants that you don’t get to see when you’re driving in the safari cars.

You must be able to walk on relatively rough terrain to participate in the tour. You are safe with the guides, but a situation CAN arise where you have to walk relatively quickly across uneven terrain. Children on the tour must therefore be aged 12+.

You should be aware that departure from the Rissington Inn is very early if you choose to upgrade to here and purchase this excursion (around 5 am depending on the time of year you travel).
