The Plantation Lodge sits like a green oasis on a hilltop overlooking the mountains. This idyllic place is surrounded by a blooming garden, which provides space for peace and contemplation. All the rooms are dotted around the garden and furnished in their own unique style. (Some of them even have their own terrace!)

The owners, who manage the place, have been used to working with agriculture, which is clear to see here. The garden is full of exotic plants, orchards and flowers of all colours. Everywhere attention is paid to every last detail at this charming lodge, which has also contributed to the place being praised and named one of the most beautiful safari hotels in East Africa several times.

Wake up to birdsong, enjoy a Tanzanian coffee and freshly baked delicacies in the morning. The place gives you plenty of opportunity to relax in idyllic surroundings and is perfect to recharge your batteries for new adventures or to digest all that you’ve seen and done after a safari, whether you choose to laze on one of the luxurious sun loungers by the pool with a good book or enjoy a cold drink at the bar. You can also treat yourself to a massage or go for a walk in the brightly coloured garden, where many of the plants are also transformed into meals in the kitchen.

Before you sit down in the restaurant to enjoy a culinary 4-course dinner, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. Make yourself comfortable on the wooden veranda or take your drink with you to the pool and watch the sun transform the sky into a sea of red before disappearing behind the mountains on the horizon.
