Baker's Cay Resort Key Largo

Key Largo, Florida

Baker’s Cay Resort Key Largo is set directly on Florida Bay, on Key Largo – the northernmost island in the Florida Keys. The resort stretches across a large area adorned with palm trees, a mangrove forest, and two small private beaches. One beach is shaded and peaceful, with hammocks perfect for relaxation, while the other is larger and located near the water activities, with direct access to the pier where you can fish. At Baker’s Cay, you’ll stay in tranquil surroundings while being close to some of the Florida Keys’ best experiences, including snorkelling, diving, and boat trips to the coral reefs for which the island is especially famous. You’ll find the renowned John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park just 10 kilometres from the hotel.

The rooms are housed in the resort’s two wings and offer views of either the lush greenery or Florida Bay. The décor is inspired by the island’s nature and surrounding sea. All rooms feature air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a mini fridge, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Each room also includes either a balcony or terrace where you can relax in peace. They all come with a private bathroom equipped with a selection of free toiletries.

The resort boasts a lovely pool area complete with a waterfall and a pool bar. The pool area is divided into two sections – one designed for fun-loving families and another reserved exclusively for adults.

During your stay, you can enjoy a variety of activities included in the resort’s daily resort fee. You can, for example, borrow bicycles, kayaks, and paddleboards, go fishing from the resort’s pier, or take part in a range of weekly activities such as open-air films, live music, s’mores by the beach, and assorted family fun. The resort also arranges yoga and fitness sessions as well as various beach and pool games.

In addition, you can book extra experiences and water sports activities directly through the hotel. The resort can organise excursions such as snorkelling and diving trips, jet skiing, parasailing, sunset cruises, and deep-sea fishing in the Florida Keys.

When hunger strikes, head to the Calusa restaurant, which serves breakfast and dinner inspired by Caribbean cuisine, with beautiful views across Florida Bay. If you’d like a table at a specific time, it’s recommended to make a reservation in advance, as this popular restaurant is also well-frequented by locals. The more relaxed Dry Rocks restaurant is set close to the beach, offering casual dining and drinks – often accompanied by live music.
