Pu Luong Retreat

Pu Luong

Pu Luong Retreat is located within the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. The retreat stretches along a mountainside overlooking picturesque rice terraces, valleys, and small villages, where you’ll be surrounded by nature, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The 31 traditional bungalows are built from local materials such as wood, bamboo, and stone, blending seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. You’ll stay in a deluxe room as standard, situated in a single-storey, detached bungalow. The 45 m² room is designed in the style of the region’s traditional Thai houses, featuring wooden furniture, embroidered fabrics, and bamboo details. Large glass sliding doors open onto a spacious balcony overlooking the rice terraces and the valley, offering breathtaking views of the mountains and the surrounding scenery. On the balcony, you’ll find both a table and sun loungers — the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and soak in the tranquillity of the area. The rooms are furnished with a double bed, which can be separated into two singles, as well as a sofa bed. Amenities include air conditioning, a safety box, Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a bathroom equipped with a shower, hairdryer, and toiletries.

The resort boasts two infinity pools set on the mountainside, overlooking the rice terraces and the valley below. Take a refreshing dip after a day exploring the trails in the nature reserve, or settle by the poolside to soak up the magnificent mountain views. One pool is located close to the restaurant and serves as a natural meeting place during the day, while the other is slightly more secluded – perfect for finding a peaceful corner from which to enjoy the surrounding landscape. The pool area also features a bar where you can order a drink or a cup of coffee.

The resort’s restaurant serves both Asian dishes and classic Western favourites. The kitchen focuses on using fresh ingredients, sourced wherever possible from small local farms in the area. The restaurant also has its own bakery.

In the evening, after dinner, you can head up to the resort’s Tea Room on the top floor of the restaurant. Inspired by local Thai traditions, this tranquil space is ideal for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee, reading a book, or simply relaxing as night falls over the mountains.

The resort is committed to responsible tourism and works closely with the local community. Many of the staff come from nearby villages, and wherever possible, local ingredients are used in the kitchen and natural materials in the construction.
