Get right up close to Cuban history and architecture and round it off with a beach holiday on the Caribbean coast.
Your tour of Cuba starts in the capital, Havana, where a fascinating insight into Cuban history awaits you when you visit the old town and see important buildings from the colonial era.
Brightly coloured American cars, the smell of cigars, as well as the juxtaposition of dilapidated buildings and newly renovated architecture, set the scene for the special atmosphere found in the city. Look forward to experiencing a veritable time warp.
From here, you head south to the UNESCO-listed town of Trinidad. With its quaint houses and cobbled streets, this town is the epitome of charm.
The evening atmosphere is warm and cheerful, and from the small bars you can hear the sound of live music and happy people dancing Cuban salsa. Have a spin yourself or feel the joy from your chair with a fresh mojito in your hand.
After a few adventure-filled days in the town, it’s time to laze on Varadero’s beautiful beach overlooking the turquoise sea. Real relaxation awaits you here when you stay at your all-inclusive hotel.

The day has come for the start of your tour to Cuba. Departure from the selected airport and arrival in Havana with connecting flight(s) on the way. You’ll be met by a driver in the arrivals hall, who will drive you to your accommodation. Today, you can look forward to your first real encounter with Cuba, as you’ll be staying at one of the charming little “casa particulares” – private accommodation at the home of a local Cuban.

Your Cuban adventure starts today with breakfast at your “casa”. Our partner in Cuba will meet you here for a brief welcome meeting of around 30 minutes. He or she will run through your tour around Cuba, and if you have any questions, you will have the chance to ask them here.
An exciting insight into Havana’s history then awaits you, when you explore Havana’s old town on foot together with a guide. This area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The tour takes you “back in time” and provides a fascinating insight into all that Havana has to offer – charming cobbled streets, impressive squares, cathedrals and historic colonial buildings. It takes you past beautiful Plaza Vieja, as well as the city’s oldest square, Plaza de las Armas, where the city museum and the governor’s palace are located.
On the tour, you’ll experience the contrast between the newly renovated areas and dilapidated areas that help make Havana such a special city.
The afternoon and evening are yours to do as you please.
Today, the day is yours to do as you please. It’s up to you whether you explore even more of amazing Havana, relax at a pavement café, or go on one of our exciting excursions.
If you wish to delve deeper into the city’s architecture and history, we recommend a walk past El Capitolio, the former government building, which towers majestically in the cityscape.
You can also visit one of the world’s largest public squares, Plaza de la Revolución, which pays tribute to an important piece of Cuba’s history in the form of memorials to the city’s heroes, Che Guevara and José Martí.
If a little more music and movement are the order of the day, now would be a great time for some Cuban salsa. Or perhaps you’ve always dreamed of experiencing Havana from the seat of a brightly coloured, old American car? Then take a closer look at the excursions below, which can be purchased from home.
Today, you’ll be leaving Havana and heading for Trinidad, a historic gem which oozes charm, and which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The drive to Trinidad is by bus, and you can simply sit back and enjoy the Cuban landscape and quirky vehicles such as bullock carts and horse-drawn carriages that you’re sharing the road with. The bus ride takes approx. 6.5 hours, including a lunch and toilet stop along the way.
You arrive in Trinidad late afternoon and are driven to your accommodation – another cosy “casa”.
Today, you’ll be going on an exciting tour of the town. Your guide will take you to the old town of Trinidad, where, among other things, you’ll see one of Cuba’s largest churches, “Iglesia Parroquial de la Santisima Trinidad”, as well as the beautiful square, Plaza Mayor, where pastel colours, arches and vaults adorn the architecture.
The sightseeing ends with a refreshing drink at one of the local bars.
Be sure to wear good walking shoes, as the cobbled streets are very uneven.
The rest of the day and evening are yours to do as you please. Experiencing the cosy atmosphere in the streets around Plaza Mayor when darkness falls is a must. You might like to drop by the Casa de la Música dance venue and try your hand at salsa, or simply enjoy a cool drink while watching others sway their hips to the Cuban rhythms. Spirits are always high here!
Today, it’s up to you to decide what the day will bring. You might like to go out and see even more of charming Trinidad and soak up the atmosphere.
You could also choose to purchase one of our exciting excursions from home, where you can, among other things, experience the beautiful nature of the surrounding area on a hiking trip or head to the Sugar Mill Valley “Valle de los Ingenios” and gain an interesting insight into Cuba’s history.
After a few adventure-filled days in the big cities, it’s time to laze on the white sandy beaches of Varadero. Varadero is a 20 km-long isthmus located right next to the Caribbean Sea, with azure water as far as the eye can see.
The trip from Trinidad to Varadero takes around 5-6 hours.
The next two days are yours to do as you please. You’re in a beach paradise, so what better than to take a swim in the turquoise water and enjoy the warmth of the sun while reading a good book. There is also plenty of opportunity for you to be active with all the different water sports activities in the area.
During your all-inclusive stay, you won’t have to be responsible for anything yourself, other than throwing yourself into tasting the array of dishes served in one of the hotel’s restaurants.
You could also head into the town itself, where there are a few shops and market stalls.
Today, the time has come to say goodbye to Cuba. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the airport in Havana, from which you’ll fly home to the UK, with connecting flight(s) on the way.
