Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Flights from selected airport

Today you’ll depart from your selected airport, flying to Kenya with connecting flight(s) along the way.

Day 2: Arrival Nairobi

Upon arrival in Kenya, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

If you arrive in the morning, you can choose to add one of our optional excursions and start experiencing Kenya right away.

Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, is East Africa’s most important commercial hub, yet the city also boasts wonderful nature experiences – for example, in the famous Nairobi National Park. It’s a true melting pot of cultures – there’s never a dull moment in Nairobi!

Or perhaps you’d prefer to relax at the hotel, where, of course, you’ll find a swimming pool.

Day 3: Nairobi – Masai Mara

After breakfast, you’ll set off from the hotel and head for the magnificent Masai Mara.

Not far from the capital, you’ll pass through the lush, rolling countryside of the Great Rift Valley. Weather permitting, a stop will be made at a viewpoint offering phenomenal views over this spectacular rift that runs the length of Africa, from the Middle East all the way down to Mozambique. Scientists believe that, over time, this rift system will eventually split the African continental plate into two separate plates, tearing a large part of the continent away from the rest.

You’ll continue your drive through agricultural areas and small villages, where everything from bicycles to brooms and tomatoes are traded. The villages take turns hosting market days, and in many places, you’ll see Maasai people on their way to the local market to sell cattle or goats.

Sit back, relax with your favourite snack and an audiobook or some music in your ears, and enjoy the ever-changing Kenyan landscape passing by outside the window.

Along the way, there’s often a short stop in Narok, the Maasai capital, before continuing towards the Masai Mara.

You’ll arrive in the early afternoon, where lunch awaits before heading out on your first game drive of the tour. Welcome to the Masai Mara!

Day 4: Safari in the Masai Mara

You’re in for a treat – a full day of game drives awaits in the magnificent Masai Mara.

The nature reserve, established in 1961, forms part of the remarkable Serengeti ecosystem and offers some of the most spectacular wildlife on the planet. Here, you might be lucky enough to see large herds of elephants, graceful giraffes striding across the savannah, and groups of zebras and wildebeests on their endless journey in search of greener pastures. And perhaps – if you’re really lucky – you’ll catch a glimpse of lions resting in the shade, a cheetah on the hunt, or a leopard lounging in a tree.

But Masai Mara isn’t a place you simply experience – it’s a place you feel. Nature here follows its own rhythm, and no two days are ever alike. The animals roam freely, and the unexpected is all part of the magic. Your guide moves with the flow of nature, reading tracks, sounds, and movements, and picking up on tips from other guides who share sightings along the way. It all creates an extraordinary sense of intensity, where excitement constantly hums just beneath the surface.

The landscape itself is an experience. The iconic Mara River cuts through the reserve, drawing animals to its banks at every hour of the day and night, while vast open plains, rolling terrain, and scattered acacia trees create a scene that feels almost endless. The light and scents shift throughout the day – from the soft morning dew on the grass, when everything smells crisp and fresh, to the warm, golden afternoon, when the dust settles gently in your nostrils.

In the midst of it all, you’ll stop to savour a picnic lunch in the open air. Here, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the wide horizon, you’ll have a quiet moment to let the experiences sink in – before the adventure continues.

Masai Mara is a place that never ceases to amaze. Every game drive is unique, every encounter with the animals feels like a privilege, and the savannah is constantly changing. It’s precisely this combination of raw nature, beauty, and unpredictability that makes the experience truly unforgettable.

Day 5: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

After days spent on the open plains, your tour will continue towards a completely different side of Kenya. The landscape gradually transforms as you leave behind the golden shades of the savannah and enter the lush, green scenery of the Great Rift Valley.

Here lies Lake Naivasha – a freshwater lake situated at the highest point of the Great Rift Valley, 1,890 metres above sea level. The lake is surrounded by acacia trees, teeming with birdlife and hippos basking near the water’s edge. The pace slows down, and the atmosphere shifts – from classic safari to tranquil nature experiences by the lakeside.

You’ll arrive at Lake Naivasha in the afternoon, and the rest of the day is yours to relax at the lodge and take in the peaceful surroundings.

Day 6: Activities around Lake Naivasha and departure for Amboseli

In the morning, you’ll have the option to purchase an optional excursion if you wish. Alternatively, you can enjoy a lie-in and make the most of the lodge’s relaxed atmosphere if you feel like taking it easy.

Later in the morning, your tour will continue towards Amboseli National Park. You’ll stop in Nairobi for a delicious lunch before heading onwards to Amboseli.

You’ll arrive at your camp in Amboseli in the afternoon, where – weather permitting – you can look forward to a stunning sunset with Africa’s majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the background!

Day 7: Safari in Amboseli

The day is dedicated to a safari in Amboseli, one of Kenya’s smallest national parks. Despite its size, it promises extraordinary wildlife experiences.

One of the most iconic images of Africa is that of a large herd of elephants crossing the savannah with Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance. That’s when you truly know you’re in Africa.

It’s the elephants that have made this park so famous. You’ll hardly find larger elephants – with grander tusks – anywhere else on the continent. The sparse vegetation makes it easier to spot wildlife compared to other regions, and the park is also home to a remarkable array of birdlife.

Today, you’ll be enjoying your packed lunch, giving you the whole day to explore the park. Lunch is usually eaten atop a small hill offering a phenomenal view of both the swampy and the parched landscapes of Amboseli.

Back at the camp, dinner awaits!

Day 8: Amboseli – Nairobi – Departure day

After a leisurely morning, you’ll set off towards Nairobi airport, where your journey home begins, with connecting flight(s) along the way.

You can also choose to purchase an optional tour to Uganda’s lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you’ll have the extraordinary opportunity to get close to the magnificent mountain gorillas. It’s a truly unforgettable experience to observe these gentle creatures up close.

Day 9: Arrival back home

You’ll arrive at your selected airport after an adventure-filled tour.
